“This Van Can” – Coming to Oldham

This Van Can” is the Greater Manchester NHS mobile health clinic in a van which is raising awareness of prostate cancer.

The van will be visiting Oldham on

  • 29 August – Sholver and Moorside Community Centre, Sholver Lane, Moorside, Oldham OL1 4NT
  • 1 September – Alexandra Retail Park, Park Road, Oldham OL4 1SA
  • 2 September – Asda Shaw, Greenfield Lane, Shaw, Oldham OL2 8QP
  • 5 September – Crossley Centre, 323 Denton Lane, Chadderton, Oldham OL9 9GA
  • 7 September – Tesco Failsworth, Ashton Road West, Failsworth, Manchester M35 0EJ
  • 9 September – Tesco Chadderton, Featherstall Road North, Oldham OL9 6BW

The service is for men, or people with a prostate, who fit the following criteria:

  • black and over age 45
  • if you have a family history of prostate, breast or ovarian cancer and are over 45. This means your father or brother has had prostate cancer when they were under the age of 55 or your mother or sister has had breast or ovarian cancer when they were under the age of 50.

Men, or people with a prostate, who fit into either of these groups can book an appointment at the “This Van Can” roadshow.
