A Warm Welcome from Littletown Family Medical Practice
Hello from your Littletown healthcare team! We hope this newsletter finds you in good health. Our aim is to keep you informed about practice news, health advice, and community updates to help you stay well.
Practice Updates
- · Opening Hours: We open Monday to Friday from 8:00 AM to 6:30 PM. We have extended access clinics on a Wednesday and Friday mornings starting at 7.30am.
- · Online Services: Don’t forget, you can request repeat prescriptions, and access your medical records anytime using our online portal at https://www.littletownfamilymedical.nhs.uk/ . Sign up today!
- · E consultations: Don’t forget all GP appointment requests are done via E Consult all requests are then triaged by a GP who will decide the appropriate pathway/care provider and the urgency the link is https://florey.accurx.com/p/P85605
- · Smear Test – if you receive a text advising that you are due for your smear follow the link and you can self book your appointment.
- · Telephone System – we are in the process of getting a new telephone system to meet the criteria of the NHS advanced telephony better purchasing framework there will be a slight change to the current ways of working we will inform you when we get further details.
- · Weight loss medication – please be aware that it is a very strict criteria for the prescribing of weight loss medication in Primary Care – BMI >40 and 4 qualifying co morbidities – hypertension, dyslipidaemia, obstructive sleep apnoea, cardiovascular disease, type 2 diabetes mellitus.

Summer is here! Remember to:
- · Stay hydrated and wear sunscreen when outdoors
- · Keep up with any allergy medications if you’re affected by hay fever
Vaccinations
Available vaccines include:
- · RSV vaccine for eligible patients, 75 – 80 year olds and Pregnant ladies from 28 weeks
- · Pneumonia vaccine over 65’s and at risk patients
- · Pertussis (Whooping Cough) Pregnant ladies 20 – 32 weeks
- · MMR vaccine catch up anybody if not had 2 doses
- · ACWY vaccine up to age 25 if not had at school
- · Shingles vaccine 70 – 80
- · Routine childhood immunizations
