Maternity Services are going Digital

The Northern Care Alliance NHS Foundation Trust has now moved to a new digital maternity system called Badger Notes. This allows pregnant women to self-refer into the service for maternity care.

A link to self-refer for care can be found on our maternity webpage – Maternity Services : Northern Care Alliance. Alternatively, patients can Google ‘badger net new referral’ and then select Northern Care Alliance SPA to access the form.

The form takes a few minutes to complete with the referral being processed by the hospital who will be in touch to arrange their antenatal care. Once registered, patients can download the Badger Note app that will allow them to:

• – Personalise their information
• – Track their pregnancy journey with photos
• – Create birthing plans
• – Submit questions to their midwife
